We are having our 2023 WPDN Regional Meeting during the 2023 Plant Health APS meeting (PH23).
When: Wednesday August 16, 2023 at 1:00 - 5:00 PM - MDT
Where: Hybrid.
In person: Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel in Denver, Colorado. Room: Governor Square 16.
Virtual participation will be available for those that cannot be there in person. Please register as a virtual participant to receive the login information.
Accommodations: Use the same you would for the PH23 meeting. Make sure you reserve one extra night at the end of the PH23 meeting.
Registration
We expect that most of you attending the WPDN meeting in person will also attend PH23. There will be no additional registration cost for the WPDN meeting portion, but we need you to register.
Food
We will provide a coffee and snack break during the WPDN meeting. Lunch and Dinner are on your own.
Program
Nobody needs more talks and presentations after a week at APS, so we'll focus our WPDN meeting on lab updates and lab accreditation.
1:30 - 2:30 PM – Lab updates (5 min per state)
2:30 - 3:00 PM – Regional center updates
3:00 – 3:30 PM – Coffee Break
3:30 – 5:00 PM – Accreditation Introduction (15-20 min) and Work on your documents help session (70 min)
Preparation
As is normal for all regional meetings please prepare a short (5 min) presentation to give your lab/state updates. States with multiple labs, please coordinate your presentations to stay within the allocated time; though it is ok if you go a little over (up to 10 min). After break, bring your lab accreditation documents and use the second part of our meeting to get some productive accreditation work time with help from our regional experts in NMSU and NVDOA.
