Information Technology is essential to advancing the mission of NPDN. NPDN IT systems support the curation of diagnostic data, reporting of early detections, and the effective communications and collaborations with regulatory partners, diagnostic labs, and the plant health communities.
The NPDN IT Center provides, maintains, and implements the infrastructure and tools that ensure the efficient functioning of the NPDN. Among other, these tools include the National Data Repository (NDR), the communication protocols with Laboratory Information Management Systems providers, this NPDN Website (npdn.org), and various NPDN mailing services.
