Andrew Daigle, NPDN IT Manager
The Communicator: Volume 5, Issue 12, December 2024
Happy Holidays from your NPDN IT team. We wish you all good friends, good food and good times. May the season be all that you want it to be. We will also be enjoying our holiday season. Our offices will be closed from December 20, 2024, until January 2, 2025. The websites will still be available, and we will gladly take care of any concerns when we return on January 2, 2025.
We have been working hard to get this year's annual survey ready for you. The survey will be available on January 2, 2025. This year's survey has been streamlined from previous surveys. Thanks to the hard work of Dr. Stephanie Shea and Dr. Tania Brenes-Arguedas, there are fewer questions to answer this year. A big round of applause for the team.
We would also like to remind you that two-factor authentication (2FA) will be required to access NPDN websites after December 31, 2024. Security has always been a top priority for the NPDN network. 2FA provides a much higher level of security by not only requiring a username and password but also requiring the user to verify something they possess.
We encourage all users to set up 2FA before the end-of-the-year deadline. An online guide is available here. In addition to enabling 2FA on your account, we also highly recommend that users set up a mobile phone in their profile that can be used for recovery purposes. This becomes very important once you have 2FA enabled in case you lose or damage the device that generates your 2FA codes. The NPDN IT Center can be reached by email at IT@npdn.org if you require assistance.
