Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) are applications used by NPDN labs to more effectively manage diagnostic information and data from their lab.
LIMS are software packages that manage sample information and track data as the sample is processed. They allow management of lab workflows, increases efficiency, standardize operations, and reduced human error.
These systems are custom designed specifically for agriculture diagnostic laboratories and to meet the specific and diverse needs of plant diagnostic laboratory personnel and their customers. They provide the labs with control over user accounts, modules to report results to clients, invoicing and billing modules, and the ability to submit data to the NPDN national.
