Plant Taxonomist - Clemson University

The Plant and Pest Diagnostic Clinic (PPDC) at Clemson University’s Department of Plant Industry seeks to hire a full-time Plant Taxonomist.

This position will be primarily responsible for identifying terrestrial and aquatic weeds and other plant and fungal specimens received at the PPDC. The Plant Taxonomist will also work with the Invasive Species Program to develop advanced invasive weed detection techniques. We also look for excellent candidates who are interested in developing collaborative programs with research labs and Clemson Extension.

The Global Plant Pathology group at Corteva Agriscience is seeking an outstanding candidate to fill a Research Scientist (RS) position in their Global Diagnostics Team (GDT). The Global Diagnostics Team serves different areas of the business by using state-of-the-art technology for pathogen identification. Our services support Corteva’s commercial groups, research and development projects, Agronomy, and phytosanitary seed movement. In addition, the Global Diagnostics Team interacts with international Corteva locations to support IPM, phytosanitary, and disease characterization.

California Citrus Research Board Lab Manager

The Citrus Research Board Laboratory Manager is an important part of the organizational structure diagnosing CLas in the fight against Huanglongbing.
The Citrus Research Program is a grower-funded and grower-directed program established in 1968 under the California Marketing Act as a mechanism for enabling the California citrus growers to sponsor and support needed scientific and technical research to further the goals of the California citrus industry. The program is administered by the Citrus Research Board, which is commonly referred to as the CRB.

Professional Practice Extension Assistant Professor, Insect Diagnostician

Salary: $48,000 - $51,000. Candidate has the option for additional annual salary (up to 0.15 FTE) via awarded grants. USU offers an excellent benefits package and retirement contribution.
